**Dear Diary,
My morning alarm is English news. I’m not good at English, but I want more chances to connect with it in my daily life, so I start my mornings with English news.
This morning, while I was barely awake and preparing for work, I heard some terrible news:
Charlie Kirk was shot while speaking on campus.
At first, I didn’t know if he had died—I just thought it was horrible.
But soon I found out that he had, and I even saw the moment on video.
It was brutal and shocking. Some people even celebrated, while the terrified crowd ran away.
I’m not a Christian, and I don’t hold strong political opinions, but I can say for sure: this was not right.
I’ve watched his videos on YouTube and Instagram. I don’t 100% agree with him, but I liked his method.
He never threatened or hurt anyone; he just talked freely with others.
So what caused his death? I don’t get it.
Does having free conversations and debates really lead to death? That’s not right.
If someone is a skilled speaker and you can’t defeat him, does that justify taking his life in public—in front of his own children?
It’s madness.
It’s unforgivable madness.**
